Day 1: Welcome to the City of a Thousand Minarets
Your Egyptian odyssey begins in Cairo. Upon arrival, we’ll whisk you away to your hotel to settle in. The afternoon is yours to embrace the local energy—perhaps wander the medieval streets of Islamic Cairo, haggle for treasures at Khan el-Khalili, or enjoy a sunset felucca ride on the Nile.
Day 2: Treasures of the Museum & Sufi Soul
Spend your morning at the Egyptian Museum, home to over 100,000 ancient relics. After a guided highlights tour, enjoy some solo exploration. Your evening is free, with the enchanting option to witness the rhythmic Sufi dancers at the Citadel—a true feast for the senses.
Day 3: The Great Pyramids & Saqqara
Today is dedicated to the icons: the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza. After lunch, we journey to Saqqara to marvel at Djoser’s Step Pyramid and the Pyramid of Teti. In the evening, board a first-class train to drift south toward Aswan.
Day 4: The Romance of Aswan
Arrive in Aswan in the early morning light. Later, we’ll visit the stunning Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, and the engineering marvel of the High Dam. Your evening is free to enjoy the relaxed Nubian pace of life.
Day 5: The Grandeur of Abu Simbel
Take an early morning trip (by bus or flight) to the breathtaking Abu Simbel. Stand in awe before the massive statues of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor. Returning to Aswan in the afternoon, you can explore the colorful local markets or visit the world-class Nubian Museum.
Day 6: Island Hopping & Life on the Nile
Board a traditional felucca to visit the lush Kitchener and Elephantine Islands. In the afternoon, your sailing adventure begins. Relax on deck and soak up the sun as our onboard chef prepares a fresh dinner under the stars.
Day 7: Sailing into Serenity
Enjoy a full day of tranquility as your felucca glides downstream. This is your time to disconnect and watch the riverbanks drift by. We’ll anchor for the night near the ancient site of Kom Ombo, sleeping under the open sky.
Day 8: Riverside Temples & Luxor’s East Bank
Start with a sunrise visit to the dual Temple of Kom Ombo, followed by the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu. By afternoon, we arrive in Luxor to witness the monumental Karnak Temple and the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple.
Day 9: Secrets of the West Bank
Explore the legendary West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. You’ll also visit the towering Colossi of Memnon, with an optional chance to enter the Tomb of Tutankhamun.
Day 10: From the Nile to the Red Sea
Enjoy a leisurely morning by the pool or a final stroll through Luxor’s charming streets. In the afternoon, board the bus for a scenic journey across the desert to the coastal paradise of Dahab.
Day 11: Dahab & The Moonlight Trek
Arrive in Dahab and spend the day relaxing by the crystal-clear Red Sea. After an afternoon nap, we depart at 11:00 PM to begin our ascent of Mount Sinai, climbing 2,285 meters to reach the summit in time for a life-changing sunrise.
Day 12: St. Catherine’s & A Well-Earned Rest
After sunrise, descend to visit the historic Monastery of St. Catherine. Return to Dahab for a well-earned rest and a free afternoon to soak in the laid-back "Blue Hole" vibes of the town.
Day 13: The Blue Hole & Return to Cairo
Spend your final day in Dahab snorkeling the world-famous Blue Hole and soaking up the sun. In the evening, we’ll transfer to the bus for your overnight journey back to the capital.
Day 14: Final Moments in Cairo
Arrive in Cairo and check into your hotel. This final free day is yours to revisit a favorite spot, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax and reflect on your journey.
Day 15: Farewell to Egypt
After a final breakfast, we’ll provide a private transfer to the airport for your onward journey, leaving you with memories to last a lifetime.
